How much does it cost to stay at Adventure Bound Shenango?
Nightly rates start at $43 for campsites and go up to $262 for cabin and lodge rentals during peak weekends. Pricing varies by accommodation type, season, and day of the week. Visit our online booking page for current rates and availability.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Campsite check-in is at 2:00 PM and check-out is at 1:00 PM. Cabin and lodge check-in is at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. The minimum check-in age is 21 years old.
Are pets allowed at the campground?
Yes, Adventure Bound Shenango is a pet-friendly campground. Friendly pets that are current with their vaccinations are welcome. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times. No pets are allowed inside the cabins or lodges.
Does Shenango have a swimming pool?
Yes, we have a heated Olympic-size swimming pool available to all registered guests. The pool is open during the camping season and is one of the most popular amenities at the resort.
What is the difference between the Black Bear Lodge and the Pine Tree Lodge?
The Black Bear Lodge sleeps 6 guests and has a full bedroom with a queen bed plus a loft with two twin beds and one double bed. The Pine Tree Lodge sleeps 4 guests and has a queen bedroom plus a loft with two twin beds. Both include a full kitchen, full bathroom, two flat-screen TVs, gas grill, and fire ring with all linens and towels provided.
What other activities are available at the campground?
Shenango offers mini golf, a jump pad, GaGa ball, bocce ball, a stocked fishing pond, playgrounds, golf cart rentals, and a general store. We also host themed event weekends throughout the season including Halloween weekends with trick-or-treating and costume contests.
Can I rent a golf cart at Shenango?
Yes, golf cart rentals are available on site. Golf carts are a convenient way to get around the campground and visit amenities. Contact the front office for rental rates and availability.
Where is Adventure Bound Shenango located?
Adventure Bound Shenango is located at 559 East Crestview Drive, Transfer, PA 16154. We are in western Pennsylvania in Mercer County near the Shenango River Lake, just minutes from the Ohio border. The campground is approximately one hour north of Pittsburgh and one hour south of Erie.
What is the cancellation policy?
Payment is due in full at the time of reservation. If you cancel 30 or more days before arrival, you receive a cash refund less a $25 cancellation fee or a full refund in resort credit. Cancel by 6 PM at least 14 days before arrival and receive resort credit. Reservations cancelled less than 14 days before arrival are forfeited. No refunds are given for weather.
When are the 2026 Halloween weekends?
The 2026 Halloween weekends at Shenango are September 11-13, September 18-20, and September 25-27. Activities include trick-or-treating through the campground, costume contests, pumpkin decorating, and site decorating contests.
Does Shenango offer winter RV storage?
Yes, we offer affordable winter RV storage starting at $300 for the off-season. Insurance coverage must be maintained during the storage period. Storage runs from the end of the current season to the start of the next season.
What are the quiet hours?
Quiet hours are from 11 PM to 8 AM. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult after 10 PM. Please drive slowly and watch for children throughout the campground.
Does Shenango have seasonal camping?
Yes, Shenango has a strong seasonal RV community with spacious, big-rig-friendly sites. Seasonal campers enjoy full-season access to all resort amenities. Contact us or visit our seasonal camping page for rates and availability.
What are the firewood rules?
Pennsylvania state law prohibits out-of-state firewood. Only local firewood may be brought into the park. Dry firewood is also available for purchase at our general store.
Are there discounts for military personnel or seniors?
Military personnel and seniors (65+) receive 15% off campsites and rental accommodations. Just ask for our military or senior discount when booking.
